Welcome Back

Wow, everyone is back on campus as the first week of classes gets underway. SAC Pres Helena Darger served free chips and hot dogs to hungry students and staff (like Fern Batemen) during our Welcome Back event. This week has gone pretty smoothly so far, fortunately. I think everybody is settling into the new semester fine.

And We're Back

What a great holiday and now it's back to work! I hope everyone had as wonderful a holiday as I did. I went to watch the Utes in the Vegas Bowl and, though the game was kinda dismal for my team, I had a good time.

Now we're back to full swing registration. See Leysi busily helping students. It will be nice when registration is done and we've got student back on campus for classes.

Brandon at the Education Fair

Brandon and Leysi hit the education fair at Dixie to recruit new students to our campus. (Here's Brandon with a group of students.) They said they had a good time and really got the word out about MCC. An of course, they gave out lots of promotional items - Brandon said the room was covered in MCC stuff!

Get Your Tix for "The Seven Keys to Baldpate"

This year our theater class is performing Seven Keys to Baldpate Dec 1,2 & 3 at 7:30 pm in the El Cap auditorium. Student tickets are $5 and Adults are $8. Get your tickets on campus in the student center or at the door. Here's a teaser:
A young fiction novel writer enters into a $5,000 bet with his friend that he can write a novel in 24 hours. He goes to Baldpate Inn, owned by the friend, and sets up his typewriter in preparation to write a world-class novel. His friend tells him there is only one key to Baldpate Inn. However, that is not true. The writer becomes involved in murder, graft, and romance at Baldpate Inn. Meanwhile, will he ever finish his novel in 24 hours?
Hope to see you there!

Thanks for the Fun!

Well, Halloween was a blast. I had a great time at our activities on campus, as well as off. (Halloween is my favorite holiday.) Got some cute pix. (See Ali the Witch from the Masada Trunk-or-Treat.) Thanks everyone!
