Farewell, Susan

Friends gathered on campus yesterday for lunch to bid farewell to Susan Hammon, our esteemed Campus Dean. Susan has been an effective leader and is well-liked by her staff. She will be missed, indeed. Susan said she, too, will miss her friends at MCC. We had a great time reminiscing about old times. Don Timpson, former NMC leader, shared some humorous tidbits about the history of the campus. It was interesting to pause and reflect on all the changes brought about in large part through Susan's efforts on behalf of NMC and the surrounding community. I personally have enjoyed Susan as a supervisor and mentor and watch her go with a rather heavy heart. I wish her the best in her new endeavours and hope she will find joy in them and be challenged to expand her capacity even more. Susan officially leaves us on June 30th. (After which, she will take off for Peru - this girl doesn't waste a moment! ;) LOL)
